This course aims to improve the learner’s understanding of frameworks, tools, processes and good practices relevant to the design of policies on ageing. It is composed of a series of seven modules (lessons), about different aspects related to policy on ageing. If you complete all seven of the modules, you will be awarded a certificate.

Abstract

The Asia-Pacific region is experiencing rapid population ageing. Understanding the multi-faceted context of ageing is key to developing responsive, comprehensive and forward-looking policies that promote intergenerational solidarity and “ensure that persons everywhere are able to age with security and dignity and continue to participate in their societies as citizens with full rights.” This course provides insights around best practices and recommendations for inclusive policies on ageing. These are designed to be used as reference points to support policy development.
