Fundamentals of Freight Transport Connectivity and Logistics in Asia and the Pacific

This course presents the fundamental elements and issues related to sustainable regional transport connectivity in Asia and the Pacific. Its purpose is to inform policy- and decision-makers and experts of the current situation and increase their capacity to leverage regional cooperation to preserve and enhance transport connectivity in their respective countries and subregions.

Abstract

The purpose of the eLearning course is to inform the policy- and decision-makers and experts in transport sector on the current situation with transport connectivity and logistics in Asia-Pacific and increase their understanding and capacity to leverage regional cooperation to preserve and enhance transport connectivity in their respective countries and regions.  The course will also highlight the lessons learned and best practices of transport connectivity and logistics during and in the aftermath of the COVID-19 pandemic. The objectives of this eLearning course are to:

  • Enhance the understanding of the main issues in transport connectivity and logistics in Asia and the Pacific as they relate to the delivery of the Sustainable Development Goals.
  • Present existing mechanisms and tools for addressing those evolving trends and challenges for priority long term sustainability and transport development challenges faced by the countries of the region.
  • Highlight the need for regional collaboration in meeting these challenges for regional collaboration in meeting these challenges.
